The Wife Aquatic Meets The Life Aquatic
We had a serious debate about what to dress up as for Halloween this year. Our boat is named The Catalina Wine Mixer, so should we go as Dale and Brennan? Indy would be Derek, obviously. Should we be a salty sea captain, a mermaid and a crab? Or, should we dress up as the Life Aquatic crew?
Team Zissou FTW!
Team Zissou won out this year and I think it was the right choice. But don’t think we aren’t already planning for next year. We totally are. Because, it turns out, Halloween is even more fun when you live on a boat!
Halloween dead ahead!
If you haven’t seen The Life Aquatic, the basic premise is that Steve Zissou (Bill Murray spoofing Jacques Cousteau) sets out on a mission to track down the elusive jaguar shark who chewed up his best friend Esteban on their last exploratory mission. With his trusty first mate Klaus, is by his side as Steve embarks on his latest - and perhaps most dangerous - adventure yet.
Upon capturing the elusive jaguar shark, the crew was surprised to discover that it’s a very friendly animal. Maybe it didn’t eat Esteban so much as lick him to death.
Indy was nice enough to tolerate his costume for pictures.
