Thank you to Progressive for sponsoring this post.

Spending time on the water, whether in a kayak or on a roomy cabin cruiser is one of my all-time favorite things to do. And now that boating season is officially underway, Brian and I can’t wait to spend our summer cruising the beautiful San Francisco Bay.

This year, we decided to join the Progressive Boat Club for its inaugural season, and Progressive hooked us up with an amazing welcome gift! Read on to see all the boating goodies they sent us. These are all boating must-haves, so be sure to add them to your boating checklist!

Captain’s Hat

I used to want to soak up as much sun as I possibly could, but now that I’m a little older and wiser, sun safety is a top priority. So, I usually wear sunscreen, a rash guard, and a hat when we’re out on the boat. I’ve been scouring the internet for a cute boating hat. Leave it to Progressive Boat Club to find the perfect fit! I’ll be wearing this all summer long.

Floatie Keychains

I’m not proud of this, but when Brian and I first moved aboard, I dropped a set of car keys in the water. They sank straight to the bottom of our harbor, never to be seen again. It was such a rookie move! Since then, I’m always sure to keep a floatie keychain attached to every set of keys we own. And, if I do happen to drop another set in the water, these Boat Club floaties will help to ensure that they won’t be lost forever!

Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker

Water and electronics don’t always mix (just ask Brian’s last cell phone) so finding a wireless speaker that sounds great AND is waterproof is basically like finding the holy grail. I love nothing more than cruising the San Francisco bay with great friends, a full cooler, and good music, so I can’t wait to take our new speaker out for a spin.

Easy-to-Store Cooler

Ice cold beverages on a hot summer day are an absolute must. Especially after a swim or a paddle. This cooler is perfect for boating because it’s water-resistant, easy to carry, and it folds up when we aren’t using it. Storage on the boat is tight, so I’m always excited to find items that can be easily tucked away when we aren’t using them.

Temporary Tattoos

Temporary tattoos are just way too much fun! I can’t wait to have our nieces and nephews over to play with these – if I don’t use them all up myself, first.

Floatie Dog Toy

I love dogs on boats. Especially when they’re wearing adorable life jackets! And keeping our four-legged friends comfortable when out on the water is essential, so I’m always sure that Indy has his favorite toy with him (along with water, snacks, food, shade, and a comfy bed!). This dog toy is perfect because if it were to go overboard, we could easily retrieve it. It’s also soft enough for Indy to sleep with (he’s using it as a pillow right now).
